Mrs. Herman Swenson Dies in Jonesboro.
Mrs. Herman Swenson died at her home in Jonesboro, October 31, 1927, after an illness of about nine months.
Alice Neaterour, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Neaterour, was born June 09, 1900, near Stillwell, and died October 31, 1927, at the age of 27 years.
She was united in rnarriage to Herman Swenson, August 12, 1922, and to this union was born one son Harold Junior.
Although Mrs. Swenson has been in ill health for some time she was bedfast but a few days and her condition was not considered serious until Monday when her parents received a telegram calling them to her bedside. They left at once but she had passed away before they arrived.
She was a member of the M. E. North Church of Tioga.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Herman Swenson, one son, Harold Junior, four years old, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Neaterour, one sister, Mrs. Louis Luft, and many relatives and a host of friends. One brother and one sister preceded her in death several years ago.
Her body was brought to the home of her parents and funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the M. E. North Church in Tioga, Rev. Mauck of Ouincy and Rev. Palmer, pastor of the Tioga church officiating. The casket bearers were six of her cousins, John Doyle, William Anderson, William Henerhoff, Edwin Doyle, Wesley Wilson, and Adolphus Crow. Burial in Tioga Cemetery.
I copied at courthouse and went to cemetery but no stone was found for Alice in 1972....
