In 1940 he started a company called George C. Poole Inc., selling Ford, Mercury and Lincoln-Zephyr brand of automobiles. His origial dealership moved to Walnut Street & Northwest Highway in Arlington Heights, IL in 1948. My father sold cars with him there in the late 1950's.
George was married to Marian and they had one daughter, Georgene Poole Eddy.
He was also a charter member of the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights, Illinois
