Vivian McCormick Adcock, 89, of Lexington, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Buena Vista. She was born December 22, 1922, in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Cyrus McCormick and Mary Thacker McCormick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Glenn Adcock. Vivian was a member of the Spring Valley Baptist Church in Fairfield. Surviving are her two sons, William Elmore Adcock and wife, Kathy, of Charlottesville; Glenn Lee Adcock, of Roanoke; three sisters, Virginia Fox, of Fairfield; Lula Harris, of Buena Vista; Alphadine Thrift, of Burkeville.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Phillip Mace officiating.
