Floyd Fry was born on July 15, 1916 in Dallas, Dallas Co, TX. He was the son of George David Fry and Mary Hanson Hope. He was a Chief Machinist Mate in the U.S. Navy in World War II. After the war, Floyd married Laura Annie Golden. He worked as a self-employed automobile mechanic. Floyd died from a fractured skull in an automobile accident on August 25, 1948. A son, Floyd Lee Fry, was born two months after his death.
