Mrs. William Probst
NORTH BEND --- Mrs. Clara H. Tyson Probst, 86, widow of William Probst, died at 10:10 p.m. yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Patrick Conway, with whom she made her home. She leaves five sons and seven daughters, a sister, Mrs. Ann Crossley of Drurys Run, and a brother, John Tyson, Lock Haven, 45 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, for a total group of survivors numbering more than 90.
Her health had been failing the past two and a half years, and she had been bedfast three weeks.
Mrs. Probst was born August 14, 1876 in Lock Haven, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Tyson. She married William Probst at the Swissdale Methodist Church in 1892, and the family has lived here 62 years. Mr. Probst died in November, 1949.
Sons surviving are Ward Probst, Mifflintown; John, Williamsport; Stanton, North Bend; Irvin, Harmersley Fork; Lewis, South Renovo; and daughters, Mrs. Laura Knepley, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Harry Simmons, West Hickory; Mrs. Frank Fox, Mrs. John Silvis, Avis; Mrs. Joseph Litle, Philadelphia; Mrs. Conway, North Bend; and Mrs. Ralph Lupro, Farwell.
PROBST --- Services or Mrs. Clara H. Tyson Probst, 86, of North Bend, widow of William Probst, who died at 10:10 p.m. Friday, March 15, 1963 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Patrick Conway, North Bend, will be conducted on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Moriarty Funeral Home, Renovo, by the Rev. Lewis A. Crouse. Interment, Swissdale Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Sunday.
