Services for Helen Benson, 88 of Trimont will be 2pm Wednesday, August 18, at Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in rural Trimont.

Miss Benson died Sunday afternoon, August 15, 1993 at the Trimont Nursing Home. Visitation will be 5-8pm today, Tuesday at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born December 3, 1904 in Reading, Minnesota, daughter of Albert and Ida (Erickson) Benson. She attended school in Marathon, Iowa. She was employed as a nanny in Minneapolis before moving with her family to Trimont in 1925. She was then employed by Trtimont Telephone Company for 35 years. She became a resident of Trimont Nursing Home on December 30, 1989.

She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont, taught Sunday school and was a charter member of Covenant Daughters, also serving on the board.

Survivors include one brother, Lloyd Benson and wife Sophie, of Chisago City; two sisters-in-law, Iva Benson of Dunnell; Edith Benson of Sherburn; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
