Services Are Conducted This Morning for Joseph A. Hageman
Funeral Services were conducted this morning at 10 o'clock at a funeral home in Antigo for a veteran of World War II and a former resident of Marshfield, Joseph A. Hageman, 40, who died of a heart attack Saturday night at St. Mary's Hospital, Wausau, following a two weeks illness.
The Rev. Andrew Linsmeyer of Phlox officiated at the rites and burial took place in Antigo.
Mr. Hageman, who was born May 10, 1905, in the town of Hutchins, Shawano County, was employed by the Roddis Lumber and Veneer Company of Marshfield before entering the Army, and after his discharge was employed as a cab driver in Marshfield for a year. At the time of his death he was employed by Marathon Motor Company at Wausau.
He was graduated from Phlox School at Langlade County, and was in service during 1941 and 1942. The ex-serviceman was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Marshfield.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hageman, Phlox; two sisters, Mrs. August P. Stolzman, Marshfield, and Mrs. Martha Feltz, Chicago; and three brothers, Albert of Clark Mills, Theodore of Phlox, and Peter of Chicago.
