HIAWATHA, Kan. – Effie Nicholson, 87, died early Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Dorothy Tharp, of Parkville, Mo.
She was a native of Brown County, Kan.
Her husband, L. R. Nicholson, preceded her in death in 1979.
Other survivors besides her daughter, are another daughter, Maxine Hooper, Hiawatha, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Casselman-Meek Funeral Home, Hiawatha. Burial will be in the Mount hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.
