Annie died of appendicitis at only 25 years of age.
"Mrs. Annie (Provencher) Cobb passed away at St. Mary's hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut, Feb. 25, at the age of 25 years, 1 month and 6 days after a very short illness of one week. Her death was a great shock not only to her own folks, but to her large number friends. She had lived about all of her life in this place, her folks having moved here 24 years ago. She had just recently gone to Waterbury, where she had made her home the past year. She leaves beside a husband and child a father, three sister and one brother to mourn her loss." (March 4, 1910, The Sanford Tribune)
