With the passing of MRS. HENRY NETT at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weber at Jericho on Thursday evening, Sept. 18th, another of the pioneer settlers of that section is called to her reward. Some five and a half years ago Mrs. Nett suffered a stroke of paralysis and his since been an invalid. She partially recovered from the first stroke and was able to be up and about the home until some eight months ago when her condition became such that she was obliged to remain in bed most of the time. A week before her death she suffered a second stroke and failed rapidly until the end came.

Ludvina Vogt, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Vogt, was born in the town of Forest, Fond du Lac County, on Sept. 22, 1852. She remained at her home until 1876 when she came to Jericho to keep house for her brother, the late Bernard Vogt, remaining as a member of his household until she was united in marriage to Henry Nett on April 27, 1880, at Holy Trinity church in Jericho. They moved on to the farm a mile northeast of that village. Here they resided until March 1915 when they retired from active labor and turned their farm over to their son. They moved to this city and purchased a home on South Madison Street. Her husband died Nov. 1, 1918 and shortly after she made her home with her son-in-law, Joseph Nennig of Chilton. She remained there for six months, since with time she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Peter Weber. During her long illness she was given every came and comfort by her children. Mrs. Nett is the last surviving member of the original Anton Vogt family. She was a woman who enjoyed the respect and confidence of her friends and neighbors, being both kind and obliging and ever willing to lend a hand to those who desired her assistance. She was a devoted wife, fond mother and a devout member of the Catholic church.

She is survived by three sons, Philip and John of the town of Brothertown, August of Huntington Park, Calif., Five daughters, Mrs. Peter Weber of Brothertown, Mrs. Michael Nennig of Stockbridge town, Mrs. Joseph Nennig, Mrs. Jos. Krebsbach and Mrs. Henry Veit of Chilton town.
