Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at St. Mary Catholic church, Chilton. Rev. Gary New S.D.S. will officiate with spring burial in the parish cemetery.
He was born in March 17, 1930 in Charlesburg, son of the late Richard and Mary Steiner Meier. He married Diane Herzog on August 29, 1953 in Chilton. Pat owned and operated the Northland Turkey Farm, Chilton. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton, member and past president of the Wisconsin Turkey Federation, a director of the National Turkey Federation and a director of the Midwest Poultry Federation.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Michael Hicks, Audrey and Daniel Criter, both of Chilton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Judy Meier, Bruce and Lisa Meier, Paul and Laura Meier, all of Chilton; 11 grandchildren, six brothers and three sisters-in-Law, Zeno Meier, Milwaukee, Clarence and Berndita Meier, Milwaukee, Severin Meier, Fond du Lac, Gilbert Meier, New Holstein, Orville and LouHelen Meier, Alvin and Theresa Meier, Chilton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Rose Wettstein, Hildegard and Leonard Heimermann, Janet Meyer, all of Chilton and Hugo Stemper of New Holstein. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Isabel Stemper, Irene Hoerth; three brothers-in-law, Joseph Wettstein and Harvey Meyer, three sisters-in-law, Norma Meier, Marie Meier and Marian Meier.
