Mary Graham, formerly of Kittanning

Mary M. (George) Graham, 88, of 325 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, Lower Allen Township, died Monday, December 9, 1996 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township.

She was born Feb. 1, 1908 in Kittanning to Alvin L. and Mary C.(Walker) George.

Mrs. Graham was a business school teacher at the McKeesport and Pittsburgh Public Schools for 34 years. She retired from Peabody High School and returned to Kittanning in 1965. She was a member of Mt. Glivet United Methodist Church, Shiremanstown.

A veteran of World War II, she continued in the active reserve, retiring as a Commander, U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, in 1968.

She is survived by one niece, Jean Elliot of Kittanning; and several other nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, W. Davis Graham, two brothers, William and Alvin George; and three sisters, Etta George, Pauline Hare and Margaret Bonner.

Burial - Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
