VAN BUREN DAUGHERTY 

Van Buren Daugherty, brother of the Rev. George C. Daugherty, this place, died at his home in Dallastown yesterday morning. Death resulted from a complication of diseases after a brief illness. The deceased was aged 54 years, 9 months and 19 days. Besides the widow, two sons survive. They are Earl Daugherty, Windsor, and Sheldon Daugherty, at home. There are also eight brothers and sisters who survive: W. I. Daugherty, Charles Daugherty, Prof. U. J. Daugherty, all of Dallastown; the Rev. Mr. Daugherty, Hanover; Mrs. Samuel Geesey, Mrs. Fred Markey, Mrs. Henry Knaper and Mrs. Frank Stine, all of Dallastown. Mr. Daugherty was employed as a cigar-maker. Funeral services will be held from the late residence, Friday, at 2 p. m. Further services will be held in Bethlehem United Brethren church. The pastor, the Rev. Paul E. V. Shanon, will officiate. Interment will be made in Union cemetery, Dallastown.

Van Buren Daugherty Buried 

The funeral of Van Buren Daugherty, who died at his home, here, on Tuesday morning, was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The services were largely attended. Services were conducted in Bethlehem United Brethren church by the pastor, Rev. Paul E. V. Shannon. He was assisted by Rev. L. Walter Lutz, of York. The pallbearers, members of the Order of United American Mechanics, of Dallastown, of which the deceased was a member, were: Allen Keller, Emanuel Frey, Pius Hildebrand, Frank Flory, Samuel Flinchbaugh and Earl Flinchbaugh. The floral tributes were profuse. Funeral Director Purd A. Reidel, of the W. F. Glatfelter company, had charge of the funeral.
