Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Church in Davenport, with Father Wickam officiating. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
Leroy Frick was born May 2, 1906, in Scott County, Iowa, the son of Heinrich and Bertha (Mohr) Frick. He received his education in the Scott County schools. He graduated from embalming school from the Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1928. He married Louese Anna Yetter on August 7, 1928, in Tipton. Together they couple owned and operated the Frick Funeral Home in Durant from 1943 to 1972, until they sold the funeral home and moved to Bettendorf. Louese preceded him in death on September 8, 1987. He had served as deputy auditor for Cedar County from 1926 to 1928. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Church, Davenport, Wilton Masonic Lodge #167 AF & AM, a 50 year honorary member of Iowa Funeral Directors Association and a former member of Durant Lion's Club.
Surviving are one daughter, Sandra (Joseph) Glattly of Atkinson, IL; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Erma (Harold) Schuppert of Walnut Creek, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five sisters and five brothers.
