Julian John Koss
(February 27, 1913 - June 12, 2008)

Julian John Koss of Many, Louisiana born on February 27, 1913 - known by J.J., Yulee or simply, Mr. Koss - was called home to our Heavenly Father on June 12, 2008. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 5:00 - 9:00pm at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many, LA, with a rosary at 7:00pm. All friends and family are invited to a special rosary mediation in Polish and English which will begin at 2:45pm on Monday, June 16, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian burial presided by Father Joseph A. Martina and Deacon Mike Sullivan.

Koss is preceded in death by his three siblings - Mary, Joe and Nellie; his parents, first generation Polish immigrants, Josef and Eva; his wife, Doris Lorene Earhart; his son, John Allen and his son-in-law, William Bruce Hanna, II.

He is survived by 8 children - Rosalia Matildia (William Bruce) Hanna of Rockport, Texas; Veronica Marie (Gary) McConathy of Logansport, Louisiana; Bonnie Joyce (Brian) Keesler of Auburn, Indiana; Marguerite Lorene (John) Mason of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Tommy Yulee (Sharon), Marion Joseph (Gwen), George David and Peter Lawrence Koss of Many; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Koss, a humble servant of God, was a shining example of Christianity for all. Thus, Psalm 37:5-6 rings true, "Give yourself to the Lord; trust in Him and He will help you; He will make your righteousness shine like the noonday sun." Julian John Koss - a man who will be greatly missed.
