James FAIR130,131 (Peter-2, Johannes-1) was born between 1811 and 1813 in Blacklick Twp., Indiana Co., PA.48,127,132 Indiana Co., PA records give his date of birth as 1811; the 1850 census puts his year of birth as 1812 or 1813. He died 1866 in Harrison Co., IN.114,129 James is present in the household for the 1860 census but not for the 1870 census. James and Rebecca Fair apparently came to Harrison Co., IN at the same time as James' sister, Nancy Fair McClarren and her husband James McClaren. After they were there for several years both James Fair and James McClaren filed land patents in Harrison Co. on the same day, 10 April 1843.
On the 1860 census all of James and Rebecca's children are shown as having been born in Indiana as well as Rebecca which would indicate that he came to Indiana before their marriage in 1837, and the family appears in Harrison Twp. on the 1840 census.
James FAIR and Rebecca SEIG were married on 12 Aug 1837 in Harrison Co., IN.133 They appeared in the census in 1840 in Harrison Twp., Harrison Co., IN.134 In 1840 the family has one male 20-30, one female 15-20 and one female under five. They appeared in the census in 1850 in 45th District, Harrison Co., IN.135 With James (37, b. PA) and Rebecca (29, b. IN) are children Anna (12), John (10), Elmer (8), Andrew (6) and Laura (2) as well as Martin Schmamowsky (12), all born in Indiana. They are in the same district as James' sister's family (James and Nancy Fair McClaren). They appeared in the census in 1860 in Harrison Co., IN.132 On the 1860 census James (47, b. PA) and Rebecca (39) are with children John S. (17), Elmore T. (15), Andrew M. or H. (13), Laura J. (10), William (7), Rachel (6) and Charles D. (3). Rebecca and the children were all born in Indiana. He is a farmer and has real estate valued at $6,000 amd personal property worth $1,000.
Rebecca SEIG was born in 1820/21 in IN.127 On the 1880 census William says his mother was born in Ohio. She appeared in the census in 1870 in Harrison Twp., Harrison Co., IN.136 With Rebecca (48) in 1870 are children William (18), Charles (13) and Emma S. (9). She was alive 1870 in Harrison Co., IN.114 She was the daughter of John Seig. James FAIR and Rebecca SEIG had the following children:

29. Isaac FAIR (Peter-2, Johannes-1) was born before 1816 in Blacklick Twp., Indiana Co., PA. He died in Near Mansfield, Richland Co., OH.
Isaac FAIR and Sarah SEYHART were married on 17 Aug 1837 in Westmoreland Co., PA.137 The marriage record noted that Isaac was from Blairsville, Indiana County, and Sarah was from Youngstown. They appeared in the census in 1850 in Madison, Richland Co., OH.138 Isaac (34) is a saddler. He and wife Sarah (31) are with children Catharine (12), Dora (8), Mary (4) and Emma (2) and two young men who work for Isaac. Sarah SEYHART was born in PA. She died. Isaac FAIR and Sarah SEYHART had the following children:
140 i. Catharine FAIR was born about 1838 in PA.138 She was 12 on the 1850 census.
141 ii. Dora FAIR was born about 1842 in PA.138 She was 8 on the 1850 census.
142 iii. Mary FAIR was born about 1846 in OH.138 She was 4 on the 1850 census.

30. Susanna FAIR83 (Peter-2, Johannes-1) was born before 1816 in Blacklick Twp., Indiana Co., PA.48 After her father died, her mother was appointed Susanna's guardian. At some point Susanna and her mother removed to Blairsville.
Susanna FAIR and James MCMILLEN were married by 1843. James MCMILLEN died on 3 Nov 1896 in Cambria Co., PA.83 He was buried in Grandview Cemetery, Westmont, Cambria Co., PA.83 James McMillen was a tailor and had a shop in Blairsville. He removed to Johnstown, PA in March 1850.
