suddenly on November 18, 2012 in Beijing, China. John was a pilot with United
Airlines ORD 777. He retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve. John is survived by
his loving wife Rita; his daughter Anna Garcia; sons John F. Hirsch III (Julie),
and Charles M. Hirsch; grandfather of Andrew and Gabrielle Garcia; his mother
Susanne Hirsch; sisters Claudia Reardon (Kevin), Maria Hirsch, and Samantha Siy
(Harvey); brothers Daniel Hirsch (Nancy), and Martin Hirsch; numerous nieces and
nephews, and many other loving family members and friends. A Mass of Christian
Burial in celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday December
4, 2012 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Ave., Orange Park, FL
with Fr. Dan Nelsen, Celebrant. Interment with full military honors will follow
at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday evening
from 5-7 PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd.,
Orange Park and a prayer vigil will be held at 6 PM.
