Dallas Elmore
Dallas D. Elmore 59, died suddenly at his home on East 2nd Street here Friday, 10 May, at 11:45 pm (?) Mr. Elmore had been engaged
in business in Willow Springs most of his life but, was because of his health the past few years. He was elected to the position of alderman in Ward 1 at the city elections in April of this year.
Mr. Elmore was born in Texas Co, 28 October, 1903 the son of Jesse and Malissa Elmore, both of whom have preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Edna, three sons, Ed Elmore of Winona, Ted Elmore of Willow Springs & Don Elmore of Kansas City, two sisters, Mrs. Stella Sullivan, Altus, OK & Mrs. Rheba Pruett, of Wichita, Ks. Seven grandchildren also survive.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon, 13 May at 2:00pm, at the First Christian Church with Rev. L.C. Hunter (?) pastor, officiating. Burial was made in the City Cemetery with arrangements by Burns Funeral Home.
