MARION - Maxine Duncan Capps, 80, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Marion Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Capps was born in the Cedar Creek Community of Horry County to the late Jack and Ruby Theresa McKenzie Duncan.
She was a cosmetologist and member of Marion Baptist Church. Maxine loved to travel, having spent time in Mexico, California, Las Vegas, and New York City.
Surviving are two sons, James Ronnie Capps and his wife, Debbie, of Goose Creek and Larry Capps and his wife, Bernice, of Marion; one daughter, Lynn Gordon and her husband, Jimmy, of Pamplico; one brother, Jack Duncan of Charleston SC and Dickerson, MD; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
