My GGGreat Grandmother remains a mystery to me, and many others.

Minerva Pitts was born about 1818-1819, most likely in Madison County, Alabama.

Her father was Joseph Pitts 1800-1850
Her mother was Mary Ann "Polly" Barnett 1800-1860

They were married 8 March 1818, at Madison County, Alabama.

Who Minerva Pitts first husband was, we do not know. Only that she had three children by June 1850. They are as follows:

Calvin Morgan Pitts 1839-1887
Permelia Adeline Riley 'nee Pitts 1842-aft1910
Cornelia Elizabeth Lunn 'nee Pitts 1850-1945

On 8 June 1851 Minerva Pitts married Green Berry Watson, at Lauderdale County, Alabama. Together they had one child, my GGreat Grandmother Mary Angeline Nicholas 'nee Watson 1853-1929

The last record that I have for Minerva Watson 'nee Pitts, is the 1870 Census for Lawrence County, Tennessee.

P.S. According to Lauderdale County Records and Family History. She was never married to any one prior to her marriage to Green Berry Watson. And I can find no record of any one named James T. Watson in Lauderdale County, Alabama during that period.
