John Mankoski (sic) of Wayside, died last Sunday afternoon after a painful illness. He was taken down with a severe attack of appendicitis which disease finally brought on brain fever, culminating in death. Deceased was a prominent farmer, widely known and much respected by friends and neighbors.
For some time he had conducted sawing operations in connection with his farm near Wayside. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his demise.
The funeral took place last Monday forenoon from the Catholic Church at Kasson, a large concourse of sorrowing friends following the body to its final abode.
