She was a Librarian for Rising City for 23 years.
She is survived by a step-sister, Eleanor Hoffschneider of York; half sisters, Edna Sharp of Seal Beach, California, and Frieda Ellis of Concord, California and nieces Lillian Lentfer and Nila Jean Norder of Bruning, Don Gerdes, Gerald Gerdes, Margaret Carnes, Audrey Trowbridge and Wanda Giebel.
Her parents; half sister, Evelyn Berry; two brothers, George and John Gerdes and step brother August Sholz preceded her in death.
