SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Lillian K. Vancil, 82, of Springfield, Mo., died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at James River Care Facility.
Lillian was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of Arthur A. and Gladys Ring Kelley. She married James H. Vancil of Morrisonville on Feb. 22, 1948.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sisters, Elizabeth (Mickey) Hogan and Myrtle Burt.
Lillian is survived by her son, Donald E. (wife, Jeanne) Vancil of Taylorville; two daughters, Becky S. Justvig and Carol L. (husband, David) Jackson; three sisters, Laura J. (husband, Charlie) Skeeters and Ruth Ann (husband, Jon) McCormick, both of Springfield, and Glenda (husband, Steve) Allison of Danville; three brothers, Arthur "Barney" Kelley of Riverton and Charles (wife, Gena) Kelley and James M. (wife, Judy) Kelley, both of Springfield; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. Sixth St. Funeral ceremonies will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vincent Rohn officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 687 E. Linton Ave., Springfield, IL 62703.
