He was a member of the American Legion; the Olympic Club; the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and the Independent Political & Social Club. He was a former member of the Eagles Club and a volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys(Black) Hephner, his son, Charles William Hephner Jr.; his parents, Charles Norman and Florence(Fullerton) Hepfner; 2 brothers, Harry and William Hepfner.
Surviving are his sister-in-law, Emma(Harry)Hepfner; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; numerous great grand nieces and nephews.
