Mrs. Elsie Jones Miller of 42 Grand Avenue, Tower City, died peacefully in her sleep Thursday evening, February 24 at her home. She was 92 years of age and was well known in Tremont.
Born in Williamstown, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Jenkins Jones. She was the widow of Charles H. Miller and a sister of the late L. T. Jones of Tremont. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Tower City; a past Matron and one of the two remaining charter members of the Swatara Chapter 294, Order of Eastern Star, Tremont.
She is survived by the following nieces and nephews, G. Elizabeth Gage of Washington, D.C.; Kenneth Jones of Shrewsberry, Mass.; Marr Budd of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in the Wesley United Methodist Church, Tower City with the Rev. Paul F. Rock II, her pastor, officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City. Memorial services were held Monday evening by the Swatara Chapter of the O.E.S. in Wesley United Methodist Church.
The John M. Schultz Funeral Home, Lykens, successors to Schoffstall and Schultz had charge of the arrangements.
