She was born in Little Mountain, SC on September 9, 1933 to the late Brady Roston Price and Ruby Counts.
Marilyn graduated from Newberry College and was an English teacher at North Charleston High School, Stall High School, and James Island High School.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking for friends and family, flowers, and gardening. Marilyn was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and rarely missed a game. Nothing made her happier than watching her grandsons play baseball and spending time with them.
Marilyn was an active member, for many years, of Advent Lutheran Church, North Charleston.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and is survived by her husband of 53 years: Jimmie Hair of North Charleston; son: Brady Hair (Judy) of North Charleston; grandchildren: Kyle and Daniel Hair; brother: Meredith Going of North Charleston; and numerous other family members. Marilyn had a great love for many "adoptive" sons, who she treated as her own.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, November 23, 2012 at Advent Lutheran Church, North Charleston. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, North Charleston.
