Arlie Linwood Moody was born in Darlington County, a son of the late Arlie Evander and Mary Anna Bryant Moody. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was the owner and operator of Friendly Grocery and taught piano lessons for many years. Mr. Moody was a member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church where he served as an organist. Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Aaron Moody and sister, Mozelle Gedra and Agnes Goodson.
