Dave Walsh of Edmonds, WA passed away peacefully November 15, 2012, spending his last days surrounded by all of his children.
Dave was happiest with his family around. He was born in St. Louis, MO, the sixth of seven children.
Dave is preceded in death by his wife, Jean, of 58 years. Together they raised five children. Dave and Jean moved to Edmonds in 1972.
After serving on a Naval ship in the Korean War, Dave sold outdoor advertising in St. Louis and then in the Seattle area with a short stay in Boston, MA.
Without exception, anyone who knew Dave described him as a wonderful father, great guy and good friend, the real definition of a good man.
He is survived by four sons, Dave, Tim, Kevin and Jim; and his daughter, Katie Oakes (Bill.) He is also survived by his grandchildren, DJ (Amanda), Ruth Ann, Bridget Crose (Zelton), Sabel and Kaelny Barquist (Aaron); and two great-children, Cooper Crose and Alivia Walsh (DJ and Amanda).
At his request there will not be a funeral service. Dave asked that his ashes be scattered in the Puget Sounds, as were his wife's.
