MAY'S LICK Elizabeth M. Kirk passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the age of 94 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Mason County until failing health necessitated her moving to Columbus, OH and later to Dallas, TX with family.
She was born in Mt. Olivet on July 19, 1918 daughter of the late Robert & Zella Lair Brown. She was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Newell Kirk and a daughter Joan H. McDonald. Survivors include her daughters, Virginia (John) Bailey of Columbus, OH and Brenda (Louis) Johnson of Dallas, TX. A son Richard (Virginia) Kirk of Maysville and a sister Verneda Sandridge of Dayton, OH and a son-in-law Curley McDonald, Jr. of Columbus, OH. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Home going service will be conducted at 1 P.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Second Baptist Church in May's Lick with Rev. L. Rodney Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 P.M. Friday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home of May's Lick is serving the family.
