Riley, Edith "Edy" R. age 86, of Urbana, and formerly of Longbranch, NJ passed away at 6:35 a.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2012 in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana.

Born on March 22, 1926 in Springfield, Ohio, Edy was a daughter of the late Jobie and Anna (Erbaugh) Riley.

She is survived by four siblings: and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Bernice Smith and Margarette Furlong.

Edy was an outspoken person and she always let you know exactly what she thought.

She was no phony. However, she was also a very loving and caring person.

She loved to buy things from the T.V. and always had extra for others.

She also loved and cared for her animals.

Perhaps she marched to a different drummer but that was Edy. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Wednesday.

Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery, State Rt. 55, Terre Haute, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U. S. Rt. 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
