Before 1900, Calvin convinced his younger brother, Winfield Scott Allsman, to relocate from Gainesville TX with his wife Ellen and their infant son Bill, to Blaine County OK to take up farming with him. On the 1900 Census Calvin was listed as part of the household of his brother Scott, Scott's wife Ellen, and their infant son, Bill, living on the same farm in Blaine County OK.

Calvin, Scott, & Ellen subsequently lost that farm after 3 consecutive crop failures and draught.

It is not known for what reason, by what route, or when Calvin then travelled to Boerne TX.

According to a letter from J.J. Newcomer to Calvin's mother Philena, Calvin died Oct 4, 1915, of 'a hemorrage of the lungs' due to swallowing a toothpick while sitting in the yard in Pipe Creek near Medina.

He was apparently unmarried with no children.
