Linda Gayle Coker, 70, of Schulenburg, died Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was born on February 10, 1942, in Cuero, to the late Truman and Laura Tresa Powell. Ms. Coker was a Baptist.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslee Burg, of Sugar Land; brother, Glen Powell of Conroe; grandchildren, Hutson Burg, of Sugar Land, and Keylee Burg, of San Antonio; brother-in-law, Richard Nolen Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Laura Genice Nolen; three brothers, Eldred, Bobby and James Earl Powell.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero with the Rev. Terry Brown officiating. Burial services will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.

Pallbearers include Hutson Burg, Glen Powell, Richard Nolen Sr., and Bobby Grasse.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Shannon McBride, director; Priscilla Layton, director of nurses; and the caring staff of Schulenburg Regency Nursing & Rehabilitation.
