SWITZER, W.Va. — Scarlett Olive Bias, 82, of Switzer, went home to be with her Lord and join her husband Friday, November 16, 2012.

Born March 15, 1930, at Crooked Creek, she was a daughter of the late Sherner and Bertha McCloud Dingess. Also preceding her in death was her husband Clifford Bias; four sisters; one brother, and one granddaughter Wendy Bias Baisden.

Olive was a member of the Crooked Church of Christ and an enthusiastic member of the Sassy Red Hatters group in Logan. Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a sister. She is leaving behind a treasure of wonderful memories for those surviving her.

Loved ones she leaves behind include eight children, Glen (Kathy) Bias of Industry, Pa., Donna (Les) Adkins of Henlawson, Edwin (Helen) Bias of Sarah Ann, Pat Adkins of Bristol, Va., Judy (Doug) Damron of Columbus, Ohio, Jill (Rick) Tackett and Robin Bias, both of Switzer, and Mark (Mary Ann) Bias of Meadow View, Va.; two sisters, Ernestine Bojaski of Mount Gay and Sandy Rowe of Ironton, Ohio; two brothers, Ralph Dingess of Dallas, Texas, and Sylvester Dingess of Toms River, N.J.; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Donna Kirk of Holden, and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held at noon Tuesday, November 20, at the Crooked Creek Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Collins Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

The family would like to thank Dignity Hospice for all the understanding, support and care.
