Jasper Haddock served during the Civil War in the famed 55th Massachusetts Colored Infantry, Company F, enlisting 5/30/1863. He was discharged 8/29/1865 with a rank of Corporal. He was wounded (shot in the left leg) 12/30/1864 during the battle of Honey Hill, South Carolina.
