They had nine children: Jean/Jane about 1844, Ann in 1845, Charles about 1848, Mary Ann about 1850, David Mitchell about 1852, Catherine B. in 1856, Gordon in 1859, William Burness in 1861 and Helen in 1865.
She died of senile decay at 23 Don Place, Woodside, Aberdeen.
