Audrey Belle Ferguson Altice, 91, of Roanoke died October 11, 2012 at Pheasant Ridge Nursing Home. The 12th of 13 children born April 12, 1921 to the late, John William and Lula Belle Robertson Ferguson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her devoted husband, John Calvin Altice and all her brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her son and daughter in law, John Eldridge Altice (Joanne) of Callaway; daughter Janet Altice West of Roanoke; three grandchildren and spouses, John Altice, Scott Altice and Anne Gearhart (Barry); eight great-grandchildren and spouses, Amber Altice, Jonathan Altice, Carley Altice, Rayven Altice, Summer Altice, Samantha Rakes (Billy), Matthew Gearhart and Tabitha Gearhart; one very special great-great-grandson, Camden Rakes; two sisters-in-law, Violet Light and Ethel "Polly" Altice; Long time and special caregiver, Dianne Mahanes; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Lotz Funeral Home Roanoke, 1001 Franklin Road. A service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Lotz Funeral Chapel-Roanoke with Pastor Wilmar Wegner officiating. Burial will follow at Bandy Cemetery
