— Paul Ray Brown, 80, of Crandall, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at home.

Mr. Brown was a son of the late Freed and Pearl Craig Brown. He retired as an electrician with Browning Manufacturing Co. Mr. Brown served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member at Farner Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Sue Hall Brown of Crandall; children, Karen Brown of Crandall, Carmen Rogers of Prince George, Va., Kevin Brown of Hampton and Kelly Legg of Rocky Face; brothers, Glen Brown of Dalton, Bobby Brown of Rocky Face and Johnny Brown of Cohutta; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday from Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Brother Johnny Rogers and Brother James Hall officiating.

Music was by Mona Brown, Natalie Rogers and Beth Caldwell.

Pallbearers included Rex Hall, Bobby Brown, Glen Brown, Kevin Brown, Mike Legg and Ethan Brown.

Interment followed in Liberty Cemetery on Wednesday.

Mr. Brown was born on June 9, 1932 in Ranger, NC to the late Freed Brown and Pearl Craig Brown. He was an electrician with Browning Manufacturing Company. Mr. Brown served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member at Farner Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Sue Hall Brown of Crandall, GA; children, Karen Brown of Crandall, GA, Carmen Rogers of Prince George, VA, Kevin Brown of Hampton, GA and Kelly Legg of Rocky Face, GA; brothers, Glen Brown of Dalton, GA, Bobby Brown of Rocky Face, GA and Johnny Brown of Cohutta, GA; grandchildren, Matthew Rogers, Natalie Rogers, Casey Brown, Hannah Legg, Ethan Brown, Claire Brown, Lexie Legg and Ava Brown; great grandchildren, Connor Brown, Bianca Suggs, Madelyn Rogers and Bohdi Rogers.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel.
