Services for Gordon Hall, 81, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Lutheran Church with Reverend Frank Starr officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Hall was born August 10, 1923, in Merryville, Louisiana, the son of the late Ruth Elizabeth (Maxey) and D. C. Hall. He died Thursday, November 11, 2004, at his residence.

Mr. Hall was a letter carrier for the U. S. Postal Service, and retired following 29 years of service. He enjoyed golf, collected golf balls, and was a member of Neches Pines Golf Club. He liked the outdoors. Mr. Hall also worked for the Angelina County Federal Employees Credit Union, where he was the treasurer. He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Betty A. Hall of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, David Wayne and Karen Rueb Hall of Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Janis Ruth and Steve Stremel of Farmers Branch and Laura Beth and Tom Waesche of Carpentersville, Illinois; brother, Donald Hall of Lufkin; 7 grandchildren, Cecily and Dustin Hall, Kyle Stremel, Ryan Stremel, and Sarah, Aaron and Tyler Waesche.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Mary Louise Hall.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Hall, Kyle Stremel, Ryan Stremel, Eddie Moreland, Carl Basey, Jr. and Joe Frank Leediker.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home in Lufkin.
