William was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was one of the oldest living members. He was a former RA leader and deacon. Mr. Lyliston retired from the Newport News Shipyard, where he was a X-32 foreman with 44 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances Mae, 2 daughters, 2 sons, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Liberty Baptist Church with burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 1021 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA 23666.
