Darlane Deloris Schweer (Bulin) Jordening
Darlane was born on a farm in Thayer County. She is the daughter of Emil and Alvina (Ortgies) Schweer. She was baptized in the Grace Lutheran Church SW of Ohiowa September 15, 1929 by Rev. William Harder. Sponsors were Mrs. Marie Schweer, Mrs. Maggie Ortgies and Mrs. Helen Mammen.
She began grade school in Ohiowa, Nebraska and transferred to Alexandria High School in her 9th grade year.
She was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church South of Ohiowa on April 18, 1943, the Rev. Fred Loeffler. She Graduated from Alexandria High School in 1946.
In 1947 she was married to Howard Bulin. To this union were born 2 daughters and 1 son.
After her divorce she raised her family in the Alexandria Community.
The children remember their annual vacation with her parents to the Sidney Iowa Rodeo and Bellevue Kansas Fair.
On February 18, 1977, she was united in marriage to Leo Jordening at Emanuel Lutheran Church, East of Daykin.
They made their home on a farm North of Fairbury where she enjoyed walking in the pasture with her grandchildren and raising a garden.
Darlane worked in the Ohiowa Grocery, Daykin Bar, and the Stable Bar and Grill.
She joined Emmanuel Lutheran Church September 19, 1980.
She passed away April 7, 1989 at Lincoln General Hospital of cancer.
Preceding her in death was her Father Emil Schweer
Survivors include: Husband Leo, Son, Mr. and Mrs. James Bulin of Fairbury, Daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mike (Jackie) Heald of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Judy) Butler of Omaha.
6 Grandchildren.
Mother, Alvina Schweer of Alexandria.
Brothers Loren Schweer of North Platte, Daryl Schweer of Friend.
Sisters: Mrs. Ron Carry of Tampa, Florida, Shirley Schweer of Omaha.
Services are on April 10, 1989at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Daykin, Nebraska. Rev. Russell Egelar Officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery.
