SALLIE LOWERY CLARK - 85, of Florence, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012, after an extended illness.

She was born in Clio, SC, the daughter of the late Wesley Lowery and Carrie Caulder Lowery. She was a member of Palmetto Street Church of God, a farmer and a homemaker.

Mrs. Clark was predeceased by her parents, her husband, James David Clark, and two daughters, Virginia Hudson and Barbara Smith.

She is survived by her son, James E. (Libby) "Buck" Clark of Florence; her daughters, Mary Ann (Tim) Floyd of Effingham, Grace (Rick) Floyd , Janie (Bruce) Lewis, and Cindy Gainey, all of Florence; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Katie Locklair of Clio, and Lois Caulder of McColl; two sons-in-law, Buddy Hudson and Ernest Smith. Also surviving are special friends that called her Mama and Grandma.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 15, 2012, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 -3:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence at 2733 Francis Marion Road.

Family would like to express their gratitude to Honorage Nursing Home and McLeod Hospice for their loving care to Mrs. Clark.
