She married Lars Johan Adolphsson on 9 May 1877 in Tidersrum parish. They departed from Gothenburg, Sweden bound for Hull, England aboard the “Orlando” on 18 April 1879 bound for Burlington, Iowa.
Obituary in the Davenport Times, Sept. 6, 1904:
Mrs. John Adolphson died yesterday afternoon at 5:15 o'clock at her residence, 2001 Eddy Street, after a serious illness of about two weeks. She was 60 years of age and death came as the result of a prolonged ailment of stomach trouble. Deceased was born in Sweden and came to this country 23 years ago, having been a resident of Davenport for the past 12 years. Two children survive her, Miss Anna Adolphson and John Adolphson, both at home.
The funeral will be held from the residence at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with interment in Oakdale cemetery.
