Funeral services were 1 p.m. today at the Nead and Clark Funeral Home in Osgood for Lawrence H. Hankins, 77, Versailles, who died Friday, April 18, 1986, in the Terrace View Health Care Center in Lawrenceburg.

Hankins was born July 27, 1908 in Switzerland County, the son of Clyde and Lula Stout Hankins. he was a farmer and a former employee, from 1959 to 1975, of the IOOF Home in Greensburg. He was a member of the Salem Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Talbott Hankins, Versailles; one daughter, Ruth Ann Ralston, Versailles; a sister, Nellie Jessup, Rushville; and two grandsons and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Howard Hankins, and one sister, Frances.

Brother Logan Fugate officiated the service. Burial was in the Salem Cemetery in Cross Plains.

The family suggests memorials go to the Salem Cemetery or to the Salem Christian Church.
