Darlington- A. Arlene Bryson, age 77, of Darlington, Wisconsin, died on Friday, December 16, 1994 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County. The former A. Arlene Parkinson was born in Fayette township, Wisconsin on January 20, 1917, the daughter of P. Hampton and Catherine (Finley) Parkinson. She was married to Sylvester L. Bryson January 21, 1935. They owned and operated a Toy Company in Oregon, Illinois; they farmed in the Tomah area, and moved to Richland Center, Wisconsin where Mr. Bryson died on May 1, 1965. She then moved to California to live with her daughter, Janet, and her family. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Darlington and its Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Steve) King of Barstow, California; her son, Thomas H. Bryson of Bremerton, Washington; two grandchildren, Kerrie Bollinger and Kevin King; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Wiegel, Lucille (Charles) Hackl, both of Darlington, and Sister Mary Faith Parkinson of Elm Grove, Wisconsin; and her brother, Bill (Rosemary) Parkinson of Darlington. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Margaret Callahan; and a brother, Francis Parkinson.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Darlington with Father Tom Coyle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
