In his early years, Enriquez attended the Bear Creek School.
When he was 13, he worked on the Adolph Stieler and Hondo Crouch ranches where he cared for the goats and farmed.
Over the years, he was a ranch foreman at several ranches and later worked in construction for over 20 years with Duderstadt Construction.
He also broke and trained horses, including those used at the YO Ranch.
Enriquez was a United States Army veteran, serving as a staff sergeant during the Korean Conflict."
