Funeral services for Rodney Lynn Wooley, 65 of Jasper, Texas, will be 2:00pm Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, with burial to follow at Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas.

Rodney passed away November 9th at Christus St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

A native of Many, Louisiana and a former resident of Longview, Texas, he lived the past five years in Jasper.

A 1965 graduate of Negreet High School near Many, Louisiana, he served his country in the Vietnam Conflict with the U.S. Army. After his military service, he graduated from Kilgore College. He retired after many years as a welder and pipefitter in the construction industry and was a member of the Pipefitters Union Local #798. Rodney loved his family and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper.

Survivors include his mother Louise Harrell; wife Mary Wooley, both of Jasper; three daughters, Ruth Brown, Rachel Jacobson and Audrey Stuart; two sisters, Carolyn Fort of Jefferson and Lou Ann Osborn of Jasper; one grandchild, Ryder Stuart; two great-grandchildren, Mariah Saldana & Sophie Saldana; and by his special pals, Charlie & Sassy.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father, L. C. Wooley.
