Bazz Allen, 91, of 1111 E. Washington St., died Wednesday in his home of natural causes. Survivors include his wife, Goldie (Jones); a daughter, Joyce Hostetler of Knox; two sons, Edwin of Tampa, Fla., and Jim of Michigan City; and seven brothers, Dan, Gerald, Creed, Russell and Ralph, all of Knox, Floyd of Delong and Joe of LaPorte. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. (South Bend Tribune, August 9, 2001)
