She was born Aug. 9, 1902 in Alexandria, Ont., the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Leroux Bedard. She married Louis J. LaPierre on June 6, 1920 in Canada. The couple owned and operated a farm in the North Lawrence area for over 25 years. She was also employed as a waitress for the Lake Placid Club in the 1960's. Mr. LaPierre died on Dec. 14, 1978.
Surviving are a son, Alcide of Massena, a daughter, Mrs. Winthrop (Janet) Riggs of Nicholville, with whom Mrs. LaPierre had made her home for the past few years; two brothers, Napoleon Bedard of Lawrenceville and Edgar Bedard of Cornwall, Ont.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by six sisters and a brother.
Burial was made in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in North Lawrence.
