Signe Kischer from Newell, was born
to Hans C. and Mattie (Sorensen)
Bodholdt. She was baptized and
confirmed in the Nain Lutheran Church.
She graduated from the Providence High
School in June 1922 and attended the University of Northern Iowa.
On Mar. 12, 1926, she was married to
Bill Kischer. They lived on a farm near
Albert City before moving to Newell. She
was employed at the Buena Vista County Hospital for many years, retiring in 1982.
She was a member of the Rebekah
Danish Sister Hood; Eastern Star and
Neighborhood Birthday Club.
Mrs. Kischer enjoyed her flower
garden, fishing, sewing, reading, oil
painting, socializing with friends and
enjoying her family.
"Sena" passed away at
the Buena Vista Care Center In Storm
Lake at the age of 89.
She Is survived by her son Donn
Kischer and daughter-in-law Virginia of
Qulmby, Iowa; Tier daughter Genlse
Hunter of Des Moines, Iowa; sister Letty
of Miami. Florida, sister-in-law.
Margaret Bodholdt of Storm Lake: seven
grandchildren: 13 great grandchildren:
three great great grandchildren; many
beloved relatives and precious friends.
She was preceded in death by her
father and mother, husband Bill and her
brother Harold Bodholdt.
