Elsie was born Feb. 27, 1912, to
Wilhelm and Dorothea (Barrensche)
Burmeister. She was baptized in the
Immanual Lutheran Church,
Pomeroy, March 24, 1912, and was
confirmed into the Lutheran faith
May 31, 1925. She married George
Franzmeier Jan. 14, 1934, at
Immanual Lutheran Church,
Pomeroy. To this union, two
children were born — Shirley and
Merle. George died Oct 27, 1967.
Elsie then married William
Seehusen, Pomeroy July 27, 1968.
at St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Newell. They made their home in
Pomeroy. Bill died Jan. 6, 1983.
Elsie continued to live in Pomeroy
until she went into the Newell
Good Samaritan Center March 16.
1990.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; two husbands — George
Franzmeier and William Seehusen;
and three brothers — Bill, Irvin and
Emmerson Burmeister.
